Kids Christmas party

Just before Christmas Joe and I went to the arc kids Christmas party .we had a breath holding competition, 3 relay races and a treasure hunt at the end we all received a present.

rainforest tour

we took an open top jeep through the rainforest to the place where we continued on mountain bikes. we then cycled to a waterfall where we had a swim ( see photo gallery ). then we continued on the bikes. on the way we saw lots of plants  such as banana, bread fruit and cashews. then we got back on the bus where we tried lots of different fruit.

first we went to the parc des mamelles. we walked on a speciql walkway high in the trees. mum was scared and i helped her.

i saw racoons, iguana, a monkey and lots of birds.

next we went to a special garden where we saw flamingos, PARROTS and lots of beautiful flowers.

finally, we went to the rum museum where we went on a land train. mum and dad bought some rum.

Today, we are in Antigua and we went to a special beach where we were the only people there. sam found some clay and we made some pots. we also put clay all over our bodies.

in isle de Saintes, I was swimming around the anchor chain when suddenly I was stung by a unknown jellyfish. It really hurt and I mean it.

Dad managed to jump clean over the railings into the water to help me. Boy I hate jellyfish!

3 years ago I decided to collect real robots magazines.

It started as a few wheels and a engine now it can follow light ,avoid light ,the brightest light ,follow me ,remote control , follow a black line, voice control and play football and I am still building it. My favourite mode is voice control. I found it very clever. Mum thinks it's great I am building the robot. It  can also be programmed by the computer. I have got 4 CD's to use. I can't wait for the next issue. Here is a picture of Cybot, my creation.

The creation of "Flying Gurnard"

A few years ago, I had a speed boat for my Birthday. Then it broke down. I didn't know how it happened and even Mike on Tulacheian couldn't fix it. I decided to do some sewing and made a mast and sails for it. Then I put the rigging on and a boom. When I first put it in the water it capsized because it had no keel. Once it did sail but it capsized again. Here is a picture of it.

6th May 2004 - My scuba adventure by Sam Pearson.

In Bequia, dad took me to the Dive Bequia base. First I had to do a bit of scuba school work. I learnt to equalize my air spaces, hand signals and all about the scuba gear. Before we could go on the dive boat, they took me into a shallow place where I had to get used to using the scuba equipment. I saw a few fish in the shallow water but that was nothing. When we dived on the reef, we saw lots of coral, lobsters, and a flounder (me and my dive buddy were the only ones to see it). I couldn't believe that my ears didn't go pop and how deep we went! Just as Mike took the picture below I exhaled that's why I've got a bubbly face!

A couple of months ago, I cleaned the bottom of the boat with a sponge. Then I swam under the keel. Now I go snorkelling on the reef and I also swim to the beach.

NIGHT TIME TOUR TO SEE LEATHER BACK TURTLES

On Saturday 6.30 pm we went on a tour bus to a huge beach in north Grenada.

It took us 2 hours to get there. When we arrived we met our guide. We had to wait 30 min before we saw one but it was HUGE!!!

We saw it lay its eggs they were the size of chickens eggs. They lay 150 eggs each

When it finished we thought it would flick the sand in. it actually patted it down.

We saw 4 more turtles the biggest was 129 pounds.

The BEST HOTEL by Joe Pearson

Next week we are staying at a hotel called La Sargese. It is a great hotel and it even has a proper toilet that you don't have to pump. I can also have a long shower. It has a beautiful beach and our room is very close. It has two dogs that I play with. The food is very very good. Near the hotel there were three nasty dogs and they nearly bit dad!

The room is beautiful with a huge bed. The lady owner is very friendly. Here is a picture of the hotel....

Seine net fishing by Sam Pearson

When we were staying at the La Sargese hotel in Grenada, mum was doing school work with Joe and I, when I noticed some fishermen pulling in a seine net.

When we went out to investigate we found that they had caught shark pups, stingrays, crabs and some small fish making a strange noise.

They told us that they leave the net for two hours but they always do it when the tide is out then Joe and I went back to school work
