Here are some of the sources of weather that we have used which some of you may find useful.

WWW.

www.metoffice.co.uk The UK Met Office for weather faxes and forecasts: You pay for this service with the purchase of tickets via the MetWeb area. Very good for 5 day forecasts.
www.weatheronline.co.uk Once you leave the southern tip of Portugal, heading South West, this is an excellent site for all areas of the world including the Canaries & Caribbean.
www.met.ie Irish weather, useful if like us, you go to Ireland first before crossing Biscay
 

www.fnmoc.navy.mil/

 

The US Navy's web site which has some easy to understand wind and wave predictions for a good number of days ahead, although the site is not the easiest to navigate.
www.theyr.net Again, another useful site with good graphical representations of weather patterns but only really for Europe.

    

Weather Fax Schedules (Based on the Admiralty list of Radio

Signals Volumes 3(1) & 3(2))

Northwood (UK)

Coverage South up to around 30° North, which gives information almost to the Canaries.

Offenbach Germany

Coverage for Northern Europe and East and West Atlantic

Boston

Useful for the Atlantic crossing covering both East and West areas.

New Orleans

Wind and Wave patterns for the Caribbean Sea area.

Honolulu

Wind and Wave patterns for the Pacific Ocean.

Pt Reyes California

Wind and Wave patterns for the Pacific Ocean.

AM Frequencies : 198Khz , 6180Khz, 6195Khz, 9410Khz, 12,095Khz, 15,070Khz

Antigua Harbour Radio

VHF Channel 06 at 09.00am every day for the Antigua area. A real treat!
